Payment Terms and Conditions

1 - Scope

These payment terms and conditions ("Payment Terms") apply to all transactions between the customer ("Customer") and Bia Electric Limited ("Company"), a UK-based electrical company providing services including, but not limited to, electrical installations, repairs, maintenance, and inspection.

 2 -  Invoicing

2.1. Bia Electric Limited will provide the Customer with a detailed invoice for the services rendered, which includes a breakdown of labour, materials, and any additional fees or taxes that may apply, including VAT if applicable.

2.2. Invoices will be issued upon completion of the work unless otherwise agreed upon by both parties in writing.

2.3. The Customer is required to verify the accuracy of the invoice and notify Bia Electric Limited of any discrepancies within five (5) business days of receiving the invoice. Failure to notify the Company within this timeframe will result in the invoice being deemed accurate and accepted by the Customer.

3 - Payment

3.1. Payment is due on the date of receipt of the invoice unless otherwise agreed upon in writing by both parties.

3.2. Bia Electric Limited accepts payments via cheque, credit card, bank transfer, or any other mutually agreed-upon method.

3.3. If the Customer fails to make payment by the due date, Bia Electric Limited reserves the right to charge interest on the outstanding amount at a rate of 1.5% per month, compounded monthly, in accordance with the Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act 1998.

4 - Deposit

4.1. For certain projects or contracts, Bia Electric Limited may require a deposit from the Customer prior to commencing work. The amount and payment terms for the deposit will be specified in the project proposal or contract.

4.2. The deposit will be applied toward the final invoice and is non-refundable, except in cases where Bia Electric Limited is unable to fulfil its obligations as per the agreed-upon terms.

5 - Retainage

5.1. In cases where a retainage is agreed upon, the Customer will withhold a percentage of the total contract amount, as specified in the project proposal or contract, until the completion of the project.

5.2. The retained amount will be released to Bia Electric Limited upon the successful completion and acceptance of the project by the Customer, or as otherwise specified in the project proposal or contract.

6 - Disputes

6.1. Any disputes related to invoicing or payment must be brought to the attention of Bia Electric Limited in writing within ten (10) business days of the dispute arising.

6.2. Bia Electric Limited and the Customer will make a reasonable effort to resolve the dispute in a timely manner. If the dispute cannot be resolved, either party may seek legal remedies as per applicable UK law.

7 - Changes to Payment Terms

7.1. Bia Electric Limited reserves the right to amend these Payment Terms at any time. The Customer will be notified of any changes in writing, and such changes will apply to any subsequent projects or contracts.

By engaging the services of Bia Electric Limited, the Customer acknowledges and agrees to these Payment Terms and Conditions.
