Battery Storage
Capture more solar.
The fundamental idea behind microgeneration is to maximize self-consumption. Customers often pay 67% more for the energy they import compared to the savings they receive from exporting the same amount. So, why sell energy to the grid only to buy back later? A properly sized battery can accelerate the payback period for your solar panels. In the UK, most households consume between 10 and 30 kWh of electricity daily, largely influenced by whether they use gas or electric heating. Our current estimate suggests that batteries with a capacity of up to one-third of your daily consumption are the most effective.

ESS + TOU
ESS storage systems are most effective with Time Of Use (TOU) tariffs such as Octopus Flux.
1. Charge batteries overnight at a low cost.
2. Utilize solar power during the day to run your home.
3. Benefit from free energy stored in the batteries in the evening.
Battery Storage Systems (BESS) enable you to purchase energy at a lower price and shield you from the elevated costs during peak periods.

NB. We never recommend charging electric vehicles from home storage batteries.
